Property Maintenance

Weekly Lawn Maintenance

  • Weekly lawn maintenance typically starts in April and runs through November. We sharpen our blades every morning and use the industry’s best equipment (Scag V2 commercial mowers with high lift blades). We have notes in the truck of your preferences for your property and let you select the cutting height, should you so choose. Weekly visits include mowing, trimming, edging, debris removal.

  • This depends on the size of your lot. However most properties in our area are between $55-$65/ week.

Fertilizer

  • Dethatching is an efficient method of removing excess thatch (the layer of debris, dead grass, and other organic matter lying between grass blades and the soil's surface) from your lawn so that nutrients, air, and water can reach the soil.

Mosquito/Pest Control

  • For effective mosquito control in Chicagoland, we recommend recurring treatments, typically on a monthly or seasonal basis. This ensures a consistent barrier against mosquitoes, especially during peak seasons. Environmental factors like rain can impact treatment longevity, potentially requiring more frequent applications. Typically, a single treatment lasts up to 2 weeks. This approach is best suited for our area, where mosquito activity is notable, and adapting the frequency based on local weather conditions is essential for optimal results.

Winter Patio/Deck Prep

  • Our seasonal outdoor concierge service takes the work out of closing and reopening your outdoor living space each year. At the end of the season, our team will carefully remove and organize your patio furniture, planters, fire pits, outdoor décor, umbrellas, hose reels, and other seasonal items, storing everything neatly in your garage, basement, or another designated area. If you don't have the space, we also offer off-site storage options. Before anything is moved, we photograph your entire outdoor living space so every item can be returned to the same location and arrangement the following spring. During the off-season, we can also repair damaged furniture and clean, stain, or treat wood furniture before bringing it back out for the new season. When warmer weather returns, we'll deliver everything, place it exactly where it belongs, and have your outdoor space ready to enjoy.

Monthly Weeding

  • We assess the area, identifying and carefully extracting weeds to promote the health and aesthetics of your outdoor space. This service may also include preventive measures to inhibit future weed growth, ensuring your garden remains well-maintained and free from invasive plants. Whether by hand or using specialized tools, a weeding service aims to create a weed-free environment, allowing your desired plants to thrive and enhancing the overall appearance of your landscape.

  • $85/man hour. For this service, we typically use a 3-man crew. Most properties take 30-45 minutes if visited monthly.

Pruning/Shrub Trimming

  • Shrub trimming offers a range of benefits, including a tidy appearance, healthier growth, enhanced flowering, disease prevention, and better control over the shrub's size and structure. Regular trimming ensures your landscaping stays visually appealing while promoting the overall well-being of your shrubs.

  • This can be determined by scheduling a meeting and having us come look, or sending us pictures to provide a quick estimate.

Gutter Cleaning

  • Gutter cleaning is essential to prevent flooding near the foundation. Clogged gutters, filled with debris like leaves and twigs, hinder water flow, leading to potential issues such as foundation damage, basement flooding, and landscaping erosion. Regular cleaning ensures water is directed away from the property, safeguarding against costly repairs and protecting the structural integrity of the home.

Christmas Lighting

  • We make holiday decorating easy with custom Christmas light installation for your home. Our team handles the setup, upkeep, and takedown, so you can enjoy the season without dealing with the ladders and tangled lights!

Spring & Fall Clean-Ups

  • Our spring and fall cleanups prepare your property for the season ahead. We remove leaves, branches, and other debris from lawns and landscape beds, cut back seasonal plant material, and leave the property looking clean, neat, and ready for warmer weather or winter.

  • Spring clean-ups: $300-$450

    Fall clean-ups: (2 visits) $650-$900

Pressure Washing

  • Pressure washing is a versatile and effective service designed to restore and enhance the cleanliness of various surfaces. Using high-pressure water, this method efficiently removes dirt, grime, mold, mildew, and other contaminants, revitalizing the appearance of different surfaces.

Aeration & Over-Seeding

  • Aeration involves removing small cores of soil from your lawn to relieve soil compaction and allow water, air, and nutrients to penetrate the roots. Over-seeding involves planting new grass seed over existing turf to promote thicker, healthier grass. This is performed in the early fall.

Mulch

  • Mulch offers benefits like moisture retention, weed suppression, temperature regulation, erosion control, improved soil structure, reduced compaction, disease prevention, and enhanced aesthetic appeal, making it a service that provides tremendous value year round.

  • $150/yard includes mulch and complete install. This includes prep, both spade edging & weeding. Our default preference is premium dark brown shredded mulch.

Sod

  • Whether replacing worn-out patches or re-sodding the entire yard, we offer a simple and effective solution to refresh your outdoor space with healthy, green grass. Our team ensures a straightforward process, leaving you with a renewed and resilient lawn that enhances the overall appearance of your property.

  • Starting at $210 per 100 square feet. Jobs that require fresh top soil, or the removal of existing sod are priced higher.

Limestone Outcropping

  • Limestone outcropping adds natural character and structure to a landscape. It can be used to build retaining walls, placed throughout landscape beds as bold accent pieces, or incorporated into high-end stone stairways leading down to patios, fire pits, and other outdoor living spaces. Each stone has its own shape and texture, creating a timeless look that feels both rugged and refined.

Drainage

  • Depending on the elevation of your lawn and how it’s pitched, issues such as pooling water and soggy patches often rear their ugly head during the rainy season. Stump Grinding/Removal

  • Stump grinding is commonly performed after tree removal to eliminate the remaining stump and surface roots, which can otherwise create tripping hazards and interfere with mowing or landscaping. It’s especially useful when you want to replant in the same area, install new sod, or simply improve the appearance and usability of the yard without the large disruption of digging out the entire stump.

  • River rock is commonly used in landscaping as a durable, low maintenance ground cover that offers good drainage and a clean, polished look. It works especially well along house foundations to reduce water splash-back, in drainage areas or dry creek beds, and around trees and shrubs where traditional mulch tends to break down quickly. Because it doesn’t decompose, river rock provides long lasting coverage with minimal upkeep, making it a practical choice for modern or low maintenance landscapes. It’s typically installed over landscape fabric to help suppress weeds while still allowing water to pass through. It’s generally less suitable for high traffic areas or spots where you want to improve soil health over time, since it doesn’t break down or add organic matter like mulch does.

Snow & Ice Management

Snow Removal

  • Our snow removal services take place when snowfall reaches 2”. We remove snow from both driveway and walkway to door.

Salt

  • Although not required, we do recommend salt every time your driveway gets cleared. We use calcium magnesium acetate, a type of salt that does not damage concrete like rock salt.
